Day 3

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Start the day with a hearty breakfast in preparation for your long-anticipated gorilla trekking experience. At 8:00 am, you’ll receive a briefing from the UWA staff. Make sure to bring a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, and a packed lunch.

You’ll be transferred to the park headquarters, where you’ll meet other trekkers. Groups will be assigned based on fitness levels and interests, followed by a briefing. Then, you’ll be driven to the designated starting point for the trek.

Ranger guides will lead you into the jungle to find the gorilla group you’ve been booked to see. The trek can take between 2 and 6 hours, but the experience is well worth it. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to take photos and videos while observing their daily activities, including feeding and playing.
