Your 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking adventure safari will provide an immersive habituation experience in the dense Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is a top destination for gorilla trekking and is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. It is the only place in the world where you can participate in gorilla habituation. You’ll have the chance to enjoy a remarkable gorilla trekking experience and spend quality time with these amazing primates.

Itinerary day by day

Day 1

Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

On the first day, you’ll arrive in Uganda, likely at Entebbe International Airport on an early morning flight, or you might be met at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. A guide from One More Adventure Safaris will greet you warmly.

You’ll then take a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which may take several hours depending on where you start. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes, local villages, and perhaps some wildlife sightings.

Once you reach Bwindi, you’ll check into your lodge, get settled, and have a nice dinner to prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure.

 

Day 2

Transfer to Akagera National Park from Kigali

After an early breakfast, you’ll go to the park headquarters for a briefing by the rangers, who will explain the rules and safety guidelines for gorilla trekking.

You’ll be assigned to a specific gorilla family group and will be guided by experienced trackers. The trek can last anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located.

Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to observe them in their natural habitat, watching their behaviors and interactions.

Be sure to follow the rangers’ guidelines to maintain a safe distance and ensure a respectful and sustainable wildlife experience.

Afterward, you’ll return to your lodge to unwind and reflect on your amazing encounter with these incredible animals.

Day 3

Drive back to Entebbe for departure

On the final day of your tour, you’ll have a relaxing breakfast and, if time allows, you can explore the surrounding area or take part in optional activities like community visits or nature walks.

Afterward, you’ll check out of your lodge and start your journey back to Entebbe. Along the way, you can enjoy more beautiful countryside views and perhaps stop at local markets or attractions.

Once you arrive in Entebbe, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.

This concludes your 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking adventure, leaving you with unforgettable memories of an incredible wildlife experience.

(It’s recommended to book a flight departing after 6 pm or consider staying overnight in Entebbe.) End of service!
