Itinerary day by day

Day 1

 Arrival at Kigali International Airport

Upon arriving at Kigali International Airport and clearing customs, your driver guide will greet you outside at the exit. They will welcome you to Rwanda and provide a brief overview of your itinerary. If you arrive in the morning, you may also meet your guide at your Kigali hotel after a relaxed breakfast.

Your first stop will be the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, which commemorates the more than one million Rwandans who lost their lives in the 1994 genocide through educational and peace-building efforts. You’ll have the opportunity to view video clips from some survivors.

After lunch in Kigali, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park, traveling through the scenic route to Musanze, which takes approximately 2 hours. The road is smooth and well-maintained, reflecting Rwanda’s reputation for excellent infrastructure.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters, where you’ll meet your ranger for a briefing on the gorilla trekking code of conduct. You’ll then venture into the forest to search for the gorillas. The trek may take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements and your group’s pace. Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll spend up to one hour with them.

After this memorable experience, you’ll return to the starting point, where your guide will be waiting. You’ll be taken back to your lodge for lunch. Following lunch, you can choose to relax at the lodge or take part in a cultural encounter, which includes a walking tour to explore Rwandan culture. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3

Transfer to Kigali for departure

After a hearty early breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you have the option to participate in an additional park activity, such as golden monkey trekking, or you can transfer directly to Kigali for your departure. If time allows, you might also take a Kigali city tour to explore local markets and craft shops before heading to the airport. This will conclude your service.
