Life-changing experience
I traveled to Bunyonyi lake to the Assimwe family together with my minor daughter. Nature is wonderful, paradise on earth. I never felt like a tourist there, but like a part of the family and their community. I watched with joy how the daughter of European culture merged so beautifully and quickly with a completely different world. It was a life-changing experience for me and I am grateful for it. Lovely weekend 🥰
I only spent two days with Ronald and his family, but I can say that those two days were some of the best days. From the moment you arrive by boat at the island where Ronald lives with his family and children, you are surrounded by a special feeling of peacefulness. The island is also full of animals, greenery, and beautiful views. Ronald's family (his sister Allen and the cook) served us delicious meals, and we also made traditional Ugandan Rolex ourselves. Die beste Zeit in Afrika
Ich hatte eine wundervolle, großartige Zeit bei Ronald und seiner Familie am Lake Bunyoni.. Ich kann Ronald und all seine Aktivitäten wärmstens empfehlen, er ist freundlich die Reisen sind sicher, man kann Uganda sehr ursprünglich erleben und was ich wichtig finde, ist alles wird von Einheimischen betrieben, womit man den Menschen vor Ort Sehr unterstützen kann. Wir hatten einen Ausflug, eine Safari in den Queen Elizabeth National Park und in den Biwind Forest. Das war sehr beeindruckend. You feel more a part of the family than a tourist
Asiimwe Ronald, the owner, is a "king" in Burimba, the village But he treats every visitor as though he is a personal friend to him He, his sister Allen and his whole family make you feel very wellcome and include you into their life and the life of the village in a way you feel more a part of the family than a tourist You get to experience the local food, dance, schools, village life, everyday work etc... Plus the views in Burimba are spectacular from every location The accommodation is solid, with private rooms and bathrooms - any problems that arise (because this is Africa) they get right onto it and solve it The food is fresh, local - simply good They can organize for you anything you might want - walks, treks, canoe rides, Bunyonyi island hopping, pygmi visits, gorilla trekking, safaris to other parks etc etc

Best place in Uganda
I stayed with Ronald for a month as a voulenteer. I can with no doubt say, it was the best experience of my life! Ronald, his family, and everyone around him are fantastic people who will give you an authentic and truthfull experience of Uganda. It’s also possible to go on tours through Ronald, where he can personally guide you and i would recommend this before using any other tour guides! I will come back as soon as possible! Beautiful day on lake Bunyonyi
We visited lake Bunyonyi and meet Mr. Yaka. On time he waited for us in the place where we agreed. He is very outgoing person, gentleman, full of knowledge and very good tourist guide. Listening him, how he explains the beauty of his lake and its stories with love you cannot regret but only fill happiness and joy of staying in Uganda. At his lovely peaceful place along the lake his sister prepared us delicious lunch. What touched us was his engagement in local community in special way taking care for orphans.
